The gesture, presented on Thursday, September 24, 2026 , saw 90 outstanding newly graduated JHS students receive essential items to support their transition to Senior High School.   Teacher Unions Issue Urgent Notice Over Unpaid Promotion Arrears and Outstanding Agreements Story Accra, September 23, 2026 — The three major teacher unions have issued an urgent notice to teachers over concerns regarding the implementation of the 2025 promotion placements and the payment of related arrears. In a notice dated Tuesday, September 22, 2026 , the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and Pre-Tertiary Education Teachers’ Association of Ghana (PRETAG) said they had become concerned that the 2025 promotion placements, together with the payment of arrears, had not been fully implemented.
